The Williams Tower
The Williams Tower, formerly the Transco Tower, is a building in the Uptown District of Houston. Its name is from the Williams energy company.
The Williams Tower is percieved as some as the tallest building in Houston, as there are no other skyscrapers of the tower's stature in the area. The Houston Chase Tower in Downtown Houston is actually the tallest in Houston, yet the Williams Tower is the tallest building in Houston that is outside of Downtown Houston. It has also been disputed that the Williams Tower is the tallest building in the world outside of a central business district.
