Wilhelm von Gloeden
Wilhelm von Gloeden (September 18, 1856-February 16, 1931) was a photographer.
Most of his works show male nudes. He lived most of his life in Taormina in Sicily, Italy. Considering the prudish and homophobic atmosphere of the time, it is remarkable that he and his trade were accepted and respected.
Von Gloeden's cousin, Guglielmo Plüschow, also photographed male nudes in Rome, Italy.
