Whidbey Island Naval Air Station

Naval Air Station Whidbey Island (NAS Whidbey) is a United States Navy air base located in two sections around Oak Harbor, Washington. The main base is located approximately three miles north of Ault Field. There are several Navy squadrons based there for use aboard ship or land; it has three runways. The other section of the base is called the Seaplane base. It is the primary location of the base Navy Exchange and DECA Commissary. It is also where most of the Navy-owned housing is located.

I am wondering how you can keep such PR tied to the importance of the military when all you do is try to keep the ones in the military scraping by financially, emotionally, and physically? I am trying to get help for my son who is waiting for money to get out of the Navy. Sorry, he is already out but can't leave. He has been moving from motel to motel to find affordable lodging for his wife, 2 sons, and himself. This is with no money coming in....he has been out a month.
