Wandsworth Prison

Wandsworth Prison is a prison in Wandsworth in London, England. It was built in 1851, and opened as the Surrey House of Correction.

It was the site of 135 executions from 1878 to 1961. People executed included Robert Rosenthal, George Chapman, John George Haigh William Joyce (Lord Haw-Haw), John Amery, and Derek Bentley.

The prison was the one that Ronnie Biggs, Great Train Robber, broke out of.
