Vincent D'Onofrio is an American character actor. Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1959, he studied acting at the American Stanislavski Theater in New York. He first got attention by gaining 70 pounds for his role in Full Metal Jacket. He has appeared in such films as JFK, The Player, Ed Wood, Strange Days, The Whole Wide World, Men in Black and The Cell. He also received an Emmy nomination for his appearance as John Lange, the doomed accident/murder victim in the acclaimed "Subway" episode of .
He now plays a principal character on the TV show Law & Order: Criminal INtent.
