Village Green Preservation Society
Village Green Preservation Society is a folk-rock and psychedelia album by British rock band The Kinks. Released on November 22, 1968 (see 1968 in music), Village Green Preservation Society is a loosely-assembled concept album, concerning the demise of English rural life. Songwriter Ray Davies had previously delved into similar territory, such as on the previous album, Something Else by the Kinks, but managed to inject social commentary into simple observations of life.
