Venusaur
Venusaur (Fushigibana in Romaji Japanese) is a Stage 2 grass-type Pokémon that evolves from Ivysaur at level 32. Like Ivysaur and Bulbasaur, its basic form, it carries a flower on its back; the blossom is used to collect energy from sunlight, giving off a pleasant fragrance in the process. Due to this, Venusaur usually moves around in an effort to follow the sun; furthermore, it is more powerful in summer when it is able to absorb more sunlight.
Name Origin
Venusaur's name is a combination of "Venus" and "Dinosaur." The translation of its Japanese name shall soon be posted.
Availability
In Pokémon Red/Blue, Yellow and Pokémon Gold/Silver/Crystal, Venusaur can be obtained by evolving Ivysaur. In Pokémon Sapphire/Ruby, Venusaur is not available at all.
Strengths / Weaknesses
Venusaur is vulnerable to Ice, Bug, Fire, Psychic and Flying, and strong against Water, Electric, Grass, and Fighting.
