Unown
Unown is a pretty unique Pokémon.
Introduced in Pokémon Gold and Silver, each of the initial 26 variations of Unown represented the 26 letters of English alphabet. Each one was in a shape that was at least vaguely similar to each letter.
In Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, two brand new variations of Unown was introduced but remained uncatchable in the game. They are, however, catchable in Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green. The two new variations represent an exclamation point and a question mark.
Unown as a battling Pokémon is pretty useless. It knows only a single attack, Hidden Power, and has little power to back it up. Its simply a Pokémon for those who like searching out and catching Pokémon.
