University Athletics Association of the Philippines

The University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) is a sports association of eight universities in the Philippines. Each year, teams from the universities play in 14 sports.

Member Universities

UAAP has eight member universities all located in Metro Manila. Following is a list of those universities with their team designations.

Adamson University (Adamson Blue Falcons)
Ateneo de Manila University (Ateneo Blue Eagles)
De la Salle University (De la Salle Green Archers)
Far Eastern University (FEU Tamaraws)
National University (NU Bulldogs)
University of the East (UE Red Warriors)
University of the Philippines (UP Fighting Maroons)
University of Santo Tomas (UST Growling Tigers)

Sports

Member universities compete in 14 sports. Basketball, the unofficial national sports of the Philippines, is the most watched and most supported among all the other sports.

Most of these sports have Men's and Women's divisions, with the exception of Baseball for men and Softball for women. Almost all sports also have a Junior's division, in which the associated high schools of the universities participate.
