Tochigi prefecture
Tochigi prefecture (栃木県; Tochigi-ken) is a located in the Kanto region on Honshu island, Japan. The capital is the city of Utsunomiya. Utsonomiya is famous amongst others for their many delicious "gyoza" specialist shops.
One of the most famous tourist attraction of Japan, Nikko (old temples) is in this prefecture. (approximately one hour train ride from Tokyo)
Other famous parts of Tochigi indclude a region called Nasu in Tochigi known for onsens and local sake and ski resorts.
Major cities / shinkanzen stations in Tochigi include Utsonomiya and Nasushiobara.
