Sovyetsk (Советск, - 1946 Tilsit) is a town on Neman River in Russia (Kaliningrad Oblast, formerly East Prussia) with 30,000 inhabitants. It is famous for the peace of Tilsit during the Napoleonic wars and for its tradition of cheese production (Tilsiter, Sovyetski).
