Salisbury Cathedral
Salisbury Cathedral is located in Salisbury, England. Building commenced when the bishopric was moved here from Old Sarum in 1220. The cathedral was completed in 1258 and has the highest spire in England, 404 feet (123 metres).
The cathedral is the subject of a famous painting by John Constable. The view depicted in the painting has changed very little in almost two centuries.
