North East England
North East England is one of the regions of England. It is divided into the following local government areas:
The region was originally defined as Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, County Durham, Cleveland. Since then, Tyne and Wear County Council has been abolished, Darlington has seceeded from County Durham, and Cleveland was split into four.
