My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult

My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult is an American industrial band, formed in Chicago in 1987 by Buzz McCoy and Groovie Mann. The name My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult was originally planned as the title of an autobiographical movie about the members' lives. The movie was never made, but the eponymous band, along with Revolting Cocks, Ministry and others, shot to the forefront of the industrial music scene of the 1980s, creating a string of alternative dance hits. Ministry's Al Jourgensen was at one time the guitarist for TKK. TKK's backup singers (who are not all female) are called "The Bomb Gang Girlz."

My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult ("Thrill Kill Kult" or "TKK" for short) signed to Wax Trax!, an independent Chicago label, in 1987. Their first release, in 1988, was a self-titled EP, followed the same year by the debut album I See Good Spirits and I See Bad Spirits.

In 1990 they released Confessions of a Knife, and in 1991, having signed to Interscope Records, they released Sexplosion! which featured perhaps their best-known single Sex on Wheelz, which was featured in the movie Cool World.

Their follow-up, 13 Above the Night, was released in 1993, Hit and Run Holiday in 1995, and Crime for All Seasons in 1997.

Dirty Little Secrets: Music To Strip By was released in 1999.

The band has also contributed to various movie soundtracks such as Showgirls, Nowhere, and the The Crow, in which the band also makes a cameo appearance.
