Michael Jackson (TV)
British television executive Michael Jackson was the Controller of the UK television station BBC TWO between 1993 and 1996. One notable high point of his time in charge of the channel was the commissioning and production of the prestige epic drama serial Our Friends in the North, transmitted in 1996 and regarded as one of the BBC's greatest ever drama productions.
He left BBC TWO to become the Chief Executive of Channel 4. In 2001 he left Channel 4 to work in America for USA Networks, controlling cable channels USA Network and Sci-Fi as well as various other channels and network programmes.
He was born in 1958.
