Lloyd Alexander

Lloyd (Chudley) Alexander (born January 30, 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is the author of a number of fantasy books for children and adolescents. Probably his most famous contribution to the field of children's fantasy is The Chronicles of Prydain, which revolves around Welsh mythology. One of the books in this series, The Black Cauldron, was later adapted into an animated movie by Disney Studios.
