Jin Cheng Di

Emperor Cheng of Jin China (320 or 321-July 26 342) was an emperor of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (265-420). He was the eldest son of Emperor Ming and became the crown prince on April 1 325.

• November 23 326: Sima Yue, then Emperor Kang of Jin China, was titled Prince of Wu
• Any day from November 30 to December 29 327: Su Jun (governor of Liyang Commandry) and Zu Yue (brother of royalist and nationalist Zu Ti and governor of Yu Region) rebelled.
• January 14 328: Sima Yu, Prince of Longya and then Emperor Jianwen of Jin China, was given Huiji Commandry and hence became Prince of Huiji. Prince of Wu (Sima Yue) was given Longya Commandry and became Prince of Longya.
• March 4 328: Forces of Su Jun and Zu Yue captured the capital Jiankang.
• June 11 328: Emperor Cheng was escorted by (the troops of) Su Jun to the Shitou Cheng (石头城, literary meaning: "Stone City")
• November 13, 328: Coalition forces of Yu Liang (brother of Queen Mu, titular but not biological uncle of Emperor Cheng), Wen Qiao and Tao Kan (ancestor of poet Tao Yuanming) defeated Su Jun at Shitou Cheng. Su Jun was captured and decapitated after his mount (horse) had been killed by javelin.
• March 11, 329: Zu Yue and several hundred followers fled to the court of Later Zhao in Northern China.
• After March 29 (exclusive) before April 14 329: Emperor Cheng returned to Jiankang
• Any day from March 6 to April 4 330: Zu Yue and his family were arrested and killed under the order of Shi Le (ruler of Later Zhao).
