Inline-six engine
The inline-six engine, also known as the straight six or slant six, is an internal combustion engine with six cylinders configured in a single linear bank, thus inline. The firing order and mechanical arrangement of these engines make them self balancing, which means that they are capable of running with little vibration.
Some cars/trucks known to have the I-6 engine: Jeep, American Motors Corporation (Eagle, Concorde), General Motors (Chevrolet Trailblazer/Oldsmobile Bravada), BMW (323, M3 roadster)
Diesel I-6 engines of large displacement are used in various industrial applications due to their smooth running self balanced operation.
