Huang-bo

Huangbo Xiyun (黄檗希運　; Wade-Giles Huang-po Hsi-yün) (died 850) was an influential Chinese master of Chan Buddhism.

Huangbo was a disciple of disciple of Baizhang Huaihai (Jap.: Hyakujo-Ekai), and the teacher of Linji (Jap.: Rinzai).
