recently saw a real estate add for a house on the dunes in the Hamptons, LI NY. It advertised a 'funicular bridge'. Funicular usually envolves cables and a vehicle to sit or stand in which pulls you up a steep incline. I can't imagine such a structure simply to ascend a steep dune. Perhaps they simply mean a steep set of stairs. Would that be properly defined as a 'funicular bridge'? Does a 'funicular bridge have to cross something or simply get you up and down a steep incline, hill or cliff? Perhaps they simply used the word to spur
