Gosport is a small town on the South Coast of England, in Hampshire. The name is derived from "God's Port". It lies opposite the city of Portsmouth, on the western side of Portsmouth Harbour. There is a ferry to Portsmouth. It is quite isolated as it is at the end of a large, triangular peninsula.
