I have written a memoir of the Korean war, entitled, "I Hear No Bugles." It is an important work. It took twenty years to write and research. My translator, Monsieur Ronald Payne, is putting it into French. I wish to submit this work to 'Gallimard.' I think it would be nice to have a distinguished French publisher bring out this book first, rather than an American or English publisher. It would be different for an American writer.
