David Baker
David N. Baker Jr. is a leading symphonic jazz composer at Indiana University in Bloomington. He has been commissioned by Joseph Gingold, Ruggerio Ricci, Janos Starker, Harvey Phillips, the New York Philharmonic, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Beaux Arts Trio, Fisk Jubilee Singers and the International Horn Society and has worked along side of Stan Kenton, Lionel Hampton, Maynard Ferguson, Quincy Jones, George Russell, and Miles Davis. He has long been an important composser in the Third Stream Jazz movement and has made over 2000 compositions.
