Daniel Greene

Daniel Greene (born 1934) is an American artist who works in the media of pastel and oil painting. He studied at the Art Students League of New York. The winner of a dozen or so awards throughout his career, Greene has painted portraits of several well-known individuals, including Mayor Robert F. Wagner and Eleanor Roosevelt. Among other places, his work can be found at the Smithsonian. His book, Pastel, is an instructional treatise for artists who work in the medium. Greene lives and works in New York, but travels extensively to present workshops.
