Coptic language

The Coptic language is the last descendant of the Egyptian language, still used in the liturgy of the Coptic Church.

Although the Coptic alphabet (which is based on the Greek alphabet) resembles the Nubian alphabet, the languages are unrelated. Nubian is Nilo-Saharan.
