Charles-Edouard Guillaime (1883 1936) determined the correct temperature of space first. He was a Nobel Laureate of 1920. Guillaime worked at the Observatoire de Paris Section de Meudon where he conducted exospheric measurements. Guillaime was a colleague of Kristian Birkeland.
