Cartoon characters named after people
This is a list of cartoon characters named after people. Most cartoon characters do have human sounding names, but they usually are named after somebody famous.

- Huey, one of "Huey, Dewey and Louie" – Huey Pierce Long, American politician
- Louie, one of "Huey, Dewey and Louie" – Louie Schmitt, animator
- Scrooge McDuck – Ebenezer Scrooge, fictional character in Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol
- Robin of the Batman series – Robin Hood, English folk hero
- Yogi Bear – Yogi Berra, baseball player
