Blue Mars
Blue Mars (1996) by Kim Stanley Robinson is the third book in a trilogy, preceded by Red Mars (1992) and Green Mars (1993) about the settlement and terraforming of Mars.
The book gets its title from the terraforming that has taken place allowing atmospheric pressure and temperature to increase so that liquid water can exist on the planet's surface, forming rivers and seas.
