Bill Deedes

Bill Deedes, Lord Deedes is a British journalist and politician. He was a Conservative Party member of Parliament, first elected in 1950, and entered Harold Macmillan's cabinet in 1962. He left the cabinet in 1964.

He served as editor of the Daily Telegraph from 1974 to 1985. He was close to Margaret Thatcher and Denis Thatcher. He was given a life peerage in 1986.
