Bethel College

Bethel College is an institution of higher learning located in North Newton, Kansas.

This private four year college offers under graduate degrees in Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Social Work.

According to Bethel College, while the college is rooted in the Mennonite heritage, it is intentionally open to a diversity of beliefs. In this setting of tolerance, Bethel seeks to foster ethics of discipleship, scholarship, service, and integrity.

The school's sports teams are called the Threshers. They participate in the NAIA, Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference, KCAC.

There is also a college in Saint Paul, Minnesota called Bethel College.The school's sports teams are called the Royals. They participate in the MIAC, Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Bethel College is also the name of a Cumberland Presbyterian college in McKenzie, Tennessee. It was founded in 1842 in McLemoresville, TN as Bethel Seminary (becoming Bethel College in 1850) and given a state charter in 1847, making it the FIRST college on this page to use the name "Bethel College." There was a brief time during the US Civil War that the college was closed but it was reopened as a co-educational institution in 1865. The college relocated in 1872 to its current location in McKenzie. Since 1906 (when the Union closed all ten colleges, only Bethel reopened, becoming as it remains, the only Cumberland Presbyterian college.
