Battle of Brandiwyne (1777)

The Battle of Brandywine was a battle of the American Revolutionary War. It was fought on September 11, 1777 and resulted in a British victory under General Howe against the Americans under General George Washington. The British victory enabled them to capture the city of Philadelphia.
