I read this story in a book when I was very young. I dont know where it came from or if its even true. A young (Indian) girl walks down a trail and spots a rattlesnake by the side of the path. The snake tells the girl "Im cold and injured, I wont bite you if you help me". So, the girl brings the snake home and nurses it back to health. After several days of care. the snake suddenly bites her. Why did you bite me? You promised me you wouldnt! I trusted you! And the snake simply said
