Hi I’m trying to determine where the airport is physically located on Amchitka Island. I thought you’d be perfect to ask where on the island (western, near the test sites? Or?) the airport is. Any photos you have would really be appreciated. My interest is a novel I’m writing where the government decides to relocate and centralize all of its federal penitentiaries at one location: Amchitka.
