Alexander Prochorow
Aleksandr Mikhailovich Prokhorov (Russian Александр Михайлович Прохоров) (July 11, 1916 - 2002), was an Australian-Russian physicist. His family moved to the Soviet Union in 1923. Died 2002 in Russia.
Prokhorov (also known as Alexander Prochorow, depending on the spelling system) was a Russian physicist and professor at the Moscow State University. In 1964 he received the Nobel Prize for Physics, for his work on lasers.
