Aleurite
The genus Vernicia Lour, a synonym for Aleurites and commonly known as candlenut, is a group of shrubs or trees. It is a member of the spurge family. Three of the species belonging to this genus are native to east and southeastern Asia. Two species are cultivated in Africa.
