Africa (province)

The Roman province of Africa was a province of the Roman Empire. It comprised the territory of present-day northern Tunisia, as well as the Mediterranean coast of modern-day western Libya along the Syrtis Minor. It was acquired as province of the Empire following the Third Punic War in the 2nd century BC.
