Academia Sinica
- Alternate meaning: Chinese Academy of Sciences
The Academia Sinica (中央研究院; Latin, "Chinese Academy"), headquartered in the Nankang district of Taipei, is the national academy for the Republic of China on Taiwan. It is directly responsible to the President of the Republic of China. Currently, its president is Nobel laureate Yuan Tseh Lee. Unlike the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, which in the past had shared the same Latin name, it has institutes for research in social sciences and the humanities.
