Mary Grant Bruce wrote the 15 Billabong books and a number of other books, all based in Australia.
Her books are based on simple times and family orientated characters in teh Australian bush. They were loved at the time by girls in the city and bush alike, and have entertained many generations since.
The only biography to date appears to be "Seven Little Billabongs" by Brenda Niall (1979) which is a shared biography about Bruce and Ethel Turner.
