I don't like you web-site. It holds no information on topics that I am looking up. Smiles from home by T. S. Arthur. Thank you though. I am sure many get what they are looking for here! Keep up the good work.

Life is like that I suppose.

Some people find what they need. Some people don't find what they need.

What do ya mean biography... There is no biography there, and I don't expect to see one anytime soon, because no where on the web is there anything to be found about this guy. I love his writing, but it'd be nice to find out who this guy really is...

Curious to know more about T.S. Arthur. I have only one book of his, entitled "Three Years in a Man-Trap", apparently a companion and complement of "Ten Nights in a Bar-Room". This miniature volume was published in Wakefield by William Nicholson and Sons, but doesn't show a date. The frontispiece introduces this as "his new volume" . Can anyone tell me what year this would have been Thank you

I read a quotation once by T.S. Arthur to the effect that some people insist on their rights being observed, but they care little about the rights of others. Does anyone know where I can find the exact quotaion !?

Thanks in advance

Recently aquired a book by TS called The Barrooms of Brantly. Appears to be a first edition. I can't find out anything about the book, and haven't seen it listed anywhere. Can any body help me out with the history of it. (1877 Porter & Coates Philadelphia)

I have a T. S. Arthur book "The Way to Prosperity" with pictures and published in Philadelphia in 1851 - 1853. Great reading I have not seen this book listed anywhere in his works listings. It occurs along the Mississippi with adventures of two boys. The subtitle is IN UNION THERE IS STRENGTH. The story is very Samuel Clemens Mark Twain, yet published years before Huckleberry Finn. It was found in Missouri. Wonder if there is any connection between the two men - Samuel Clemens found inspiration in other people's stories. I am listing it on EBAY this week if anyone is interested in it.

I have a copy of "Ten Nights in a Bar-Room" by T.S. Arthur. I also have a news paper clipping stating a Rocghester N.Y. school was looking for a copy of this book and it was worth $25,000 to them (I don't know the date of the paper the article was in). "TenNights" went out of print in 1909.

Can anyone till me if it is worth anything today.
