marion harlands real name was mary virginia hawes terhune. there is an article in the richmond(va) times dispatch about the author(jan21, 2004)

I have a book written by Marion Harland, copywrited by Mary Virginia Terhune. The title of the book is House and Home , a complete house-wife's guide. copywrite 1889.

I have an old copy of Eve's Daughters or Common Sense for Maid Wife and Mother. It belonged to my Great Grandma.
